He was introduced to photography when he was in his 8th grade. He got his first camera in 2003 as a gift from his elder brother and he took to it like a duck to water. He has completed his MBA in Marketing from IBS Mumbai with over five years of experience in professional photography and client servicing. He and Dhruv came up with an idea of making the passion of photography into a full fledged business.

He has a keen eye for details, a happy go lucky guy and a nerd in his own way. He has traveled all over the country to explore different cultures and extraordinary stories of ordinary people. Being an ambivert, he likes to capture human emotions, whether it be weddings, events or everyday life.

His goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. He is also a comic fanatic, dog lover and cordon bleu chef. If he is not working, you can usually find him in the kitchen whipping up something delicious.

An MBA in Marketing with 7 years of work experience in India and Australia, Venkatesh truly possesses well rounded skill sets, a few of them being communications, marketing, sales, business analysis and management. Having worked for the largest public relations agency in India and representing the CEO of the largest private sector bank, he honed the niche art of corporate communications. He then went on to learn sales and client management in Sydney, Australia.

Though Venkatesh has recently come on board as a partner, his faith in Snapped Studio and its founders has stood strong since day dot. The day one gets married is generally one of his/her most important memories and he chose to hire Snapped to cover this day even though Suniel and Dhruv were only starting out. He then later approached them to come on board only for discussions to stall as he was heading abroad. A firm believer in destiny, he still stands by the fact that everything happens for the good and his long and winding journey before coming on-board has added immense strength and wisdom for us at Snapped Studio. Other than being the face/spokesperson of the organization, he handles client and third party (vendor) negotiations and also manages all forms of written content.

Every small experience and learning whether it was from buying his 1st point and shoot camera during his sister’s wedding when he was (16) old to being a founding partner at Snapped Studio and everything in between has definitely helped shape him into the top shelf photographer that he is today.

Photography magazines were his first formal/theoretical introduction to the art. The point and shoot was the next step in his growth before getting into a photography club “Drashtikon”, which actually let him loose on the streets scouring for surreal shots. Finally, during his MBA, he found Suniel Sri, someone who shared the same thirst and passion which led to the birth of Snapped Studio. He then went onto acquire a diploma in photography which helped iron out the raw edges and turn him into the complete package that he is today. The learning never stops and that is so true in Dhruv’s case as well. He still tries to improve one small skill set within his repertoire every day.

Mehul has 8 plus years of experience in the world of cinematography. His rich and diverse work experience ensures he has been there and done that! Throw him in the deep end and not only will he stay afloat but will swim back to shore with a couple of fresh fish ready for a great meal!

He has been blessed with opportunities to work on A list projects and with crème-la-crème clients. Whether it is covering the pan-India efforts of the nation’s largest volunteer organization or shooting with leading event management companies and their famous celebrity clients, commercials for top corporates or working with excellent directors as a director of photography, creating content with different artists across India.

Mehul has always worked hard to create aesthetic visual imagery with compelling stories, short films, documentaries, commercial ads, music videos, products and/or fashion shoots, video blogs & much more. His philosophy is to keep it simple & natural.

Photography is his passion, but his journey has been quite different. People often do what they have formally learnt through courses but he did what his heart desired.

After completing the Bachelor of Commerce graduation many said to him, you are not going to do anything great but he has gone on to prove them wrong! His career started in the year 2015 driven by passion but no access to a professional camera. He has always looked up to people like Sir Prashant Godbole and started learning about photography following his work.

He has covered more than 200 weddings in more than 20 cities in 3 countries. In 2018, he participated in a 5 Day ‘Wedding Photography Course’ conducted by Studio A (Chennai) and also the Pep Summit three day workshop In Hyderabad(2019). He was also invited for the Sony better photography awards in 2019. In 2020 he was honoured with the international photography award at Wedwar awards.

Though his search for a passion and maybe eventually a career started at the theatre, at the age of 13, he finally found his calling when started directing plays at college.

He always keeps repeating to most of us here at Snapped Studio “The most ordinary characters also have some spell-binding stories to tell” and that pursuit of the perfect story is what sets Abhishek apart. He has been working in Bollywood & in the Ad film industry for over 7 years, as an assistant director and editor.

Few of his projects include Sachin a Billion Dreams, Bucket List, Guilty, Class of 83 and Jhund. We are very fortunate to have on board, such an experienced and well networked editor who is very humble at heart.
